Angela Stent

Angela Stent聽is a聽foreign policy聽expert specializing in US and European relations with Russia and聽Russian foreign policy.

Angela Stent is director of the Center for Eurasian, Russian and East European Studies and a professor of government and foreign service at Georgetown University. She is also a nonresident senior fellow at the Brookings Institution and co-chairs its Hewett Forum on post-Soviet affairs. During the 2015 to 2016 academic year, she was a fellow at the Transatlantic Academy of the German Marshall Fund. From 2004 to 2006, she served as national intelligence officer for Russia and Eurasia at the National Intelligence Council. 聽From 1999 to 2001, she served in the Office of Policy Planning at the U.S. Department of State.聽

She discussed her聽latest book聽鈥淧utin鈥檚 World: Russia Against the West and With the Rest鈥 (Twelve, 2019), for which she won the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy鈥檚 prize for the best book on U.S-Russia Relations.
