Aroussiak Gabrielian and Alison B. Hirsch, collaborators and founders of foreground design agency (), will discuss their landscape-oriented design practice, which specifically strives to dismantle structures of power and privilege that render specific humans, species and matter silent. Working across design, art, media, technology and writing, their landscape design inquiries probe the intermediary space of the real and the imagined, the听situated and the speculative, realism and idealism, the physical and the representational.听


Aroussiak Gabrielian is a speculative designer with training in architecture, landscape, architecture and media arts. She is assistant professor of Landscape Architecture + Urbanism at USC and is an 新月直播 alum.听

Alison B. Hisch is a landscape theorist, historian and designer who explores the intersections of landscape, performance and practices of embodiment. She is associate professor and director of Landscape Architecture + Urbanism at USC.
